I had a 'photo shoot' afternoon with my friend's dog, Strider recently. The pics were for a doggy profile in The Orange Photo News, it was a fun afternoon as you can see.

I think these are called water striders. This one, gliding across murky waters at Bender Park, was easy to photograph. (8/3/08)

This is maxing out the tolerance of those joints. if i bent them much further that hinge would pop out of place.
you can see in this pic the heel portion of the foot retracts slightly as he puts weight on the toes. normally (and if i could make a better shin joint) the toes are the only things touching the ground and the heel only makes contact with the ground if he needs more grip and stabilization on the ground. being a recon droid he basically tip-toes around everywhere unless he's gotta RUN.
