First test out of my new X-Pro1 at 1600. Loving this camera. Found a deal on a beater body that I couldn't pass up. ;-)

I've recently returned home from a wonderful week spent in the Southern Uplands of Scotland; my first trip away in over a year. This was a picture I've had planned for a few years, but wasn't expecting to experience the conditions I was hoping for during this visit. However, with a promising forecast the evening before, I decided to set my alarm and head out early up to this viewpoint to capture the sunrise - and I certainly was pleased I made the effort.
This sculpture is one of the Striding Arches dotted around the summits in this area, and lies along the route of Southern Upland Way on the top of Benbrack. Look closely, and you can also spot the highest of the arches on nearby Colt Hill to the left.
A small gap in the clouds on the horizon allowed the early morning sun to appear for only a few minutes, before disappearing again. Those few moments were truly stunning as I watched the sun appear through the archway, looking almost like a heavenly gateway with the light beaming through.
Terminate with extreme prejudice!
A small scale joints/figure experiment using some of the new(ish) parts I got.

Robin Hood's Stride (also known as Mock Beggar's Mansion) is a rock formation on the Limestone Way in Derbyshire close to the village of Elton.
It consists of gritstone boulders deeply seamed by water flows. The two "pinnacles" are Weasel pinnacle (eastern end; Diff) and Inaccessible pinnacle (west; V Diff).
Now that we have negotiated the transition from a old year to a new one it's probably a good time to take on board the lessons from the past and not repeat those mistakes and look to a renewal of connections and chase those aspirations as time is short judging by how fast this new year rolled around.
Just like the 'Taupo Tree' here which seems to take all those storms in its stride, It's no wonder many people relate to lone trees especially those surviving in lakes as a symbol of overcoming obstacles and standing steadfast for the things that matter.
May your new years goals be rewarded with success... just like the tree.
A swift couple of hours back to my favourite lime kiln. With Chris T, Dominic and James Mills.
Still trying to extract the best from this spot but its proving tricky to get to grips with.
Wasn't super keen on the colours in this one so converted to mono and got rid of the dead space top and bottom with a sizeable crop.
Back again on Friday and to a nearby tunnel to see what we can formulate.
Great to meet up as per.
This is number 97 of my 365.
Catch you tomorrow folks.
