From Wikipedia on the name Strider; Aragorn II, son of Arathorn is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium. He is one of the main protagonists of The Lord of the Rings. Aragorn was a Ranger of the North, first introduced with the name Strider at Bree, as the Hobbits continued to call him throughout The Lord of the Rings. He was eventually discovered to be the heir of Isildur and rightful claimant to the thrones of Arnor and Gondor. He was also a confidant of Gandalf and an integral part of the quest to destroy the One Ring and defeat the Dark Lord Sauron.

The lagoon was low as it was open to the sea after heavy rain. They like to eat fish, including flounders, shrimps and other crustaceans, aquatic insects, and frogs. If you would like to know more: www.nzbirdsonline.org.nz/species/royal-spoonbill
This is an interesting shot in terms of reflections, because one would normally think that part on the left was the "real world", I think, due to the way those shots normally work. In this case though, the whole thing's a reflection as you can tell by the word "Hotel" written backwards in the background across the street. I'll be interested to hear how many people you think are actually in the frame...anyway, happy Friday everyone...

I typically like to shoot when the weather is "interesting", and to me a sunny bluebird day is not interesting.
But I went out anyway and suffered through the sunshine and carefree vibes.

Slippery wet paving, freezing temperatures and there I am with a dodgy ankle, hip pain, hobbling and limping around carefully in proper hiking boots... oh to be young and carefree to stride around at full speed in platforms with total abandon.
I do love to see some individual style in the street. Enjoy.
P.s. the writing "Trouble Maker" on the bag is reversed, I haven't flipped the photo horizontally at all.

I saw him walking with that determined stride and set myself up for the "decisive moment".... I was aiming for the framing, but also luckily caught that "Man jumping over a puddle " foot...
Yes, this looks great in B&W, but if I'm gonna to talk the colorful talk I better walk the colorful walk...
Again, love the butteriness of the CCD sensor....
