These stepping stone sets are installed at intervals along the channel - not only to help peope cross over, but also to 'break up' the flow of water and presumably keep it from stagnating.
While we were in the Kawarthas, we did a couple hikes through the Silent Lake Provincial Park. I wasn't expecting to see much in the "deep woods" but it turns out that was my favorite part. There were many little water falls, streams and ponds throughout the woods. Great hiking area
Happy Children's Day!
It's been a long time since I have posted any photos. I've been meaning to get back into it for a long while now. In the coming months I'll probably post some new photos, but also get a lot from my "archives".
First up: Carp streamers from Children's Day in Japan, taken almost exactly 4 years ago during my last few months in that country. These kites were one of my favourite things to shoot.
