Another shot from yesterday's hike along the Boyne River near Hoggs Falls. The combination of polarizing filter and low afternoon rays breaking through the clouds lent a nice warmth to the scene.

I found a great fondness of waterfalls and streams on this trip. Again I didn't use a tripod. Handheld at 0.8 seconds shutter speed

It was colder than we thought

I've been in the Lake District four days and it's rained pretty much constantly so far. There's nothing else for it other than to don waterproofs and get out in it. Although photography conditions are far from ideal by working with the rain there's always something to capture. This swollen stream running through the autumnal vegetation caught my attention.

Reflections in a stream in Petts Wood, Kent, UK. Looks best at larger image sizes. Appears almost like shiny treacle toffee.
