Even minor rain events will cause small perennial and ephemeral streams to swell. The water, which is normally clear, becomes cloudy with sediment.

Stream and Tree

The weather in Cairns in Far North Queensland has not been great recently, however, at a conference one day was spent at the Daintree looking at tropical rainforest ecology. The rain stopped for just long enough to get this photo.

Same Stream but with high exposure - taken by Nick

Killarney National Park in Ireland has a lot of lakes - and a lot of streams that feed them and keep them full. This lovely creek sat just below the spectacular 75' tall falls called Torc in the north end of the park.

This is my first attempt at a looping motion background. I plan to use this as a 'Welcome Slide.' The splice is actually near the middle of the video. I cut the video in half, and put the second half first. Then I tried to find similar frames in the middle to splice the two halves together. So the last frame of this video, was actually shot just prior to the first.

This video is available for use in Christian Church Worship Ministries, all other uses are prohibited without permission.

Finally got round to processing more from my unexpected landscape trip to Bradgate Park last weekend :)

Stream in Galili

Everything in the woods today was wet. All flavors of ice, snow, slush and mud in all known possible combinations. Add to this the bottom layer of slippery leaves and you can only imagine how dangerous it was.

If you have a wild imagination, you will see three people walking toward a cave.
