At the Streamliners at Spencer event, CNW F7A #411 pulls an onsite passsenger train with PRR E8A #5711 on the other end. To the left of the train is SOU GP30 #2601 and N&W GP9 #620, which are property of the North Carolina Transportation Museum. 6/01/14.
Alright it is not nice subject at all. Nevertheless the place of the bus in the frame and the curve of the rails follow almost perfectly the spiral/golden rule.
So this shot is just for the fun.

I've got one tiny streamlining issue. Can you spot it?
If it makes you feel better, I quickly realized what was going on and fixed the problem.
I love old metal script lettering. Spotted this on a vintage RV parked in north-east Monrovia. The light was fading so my shot of the whole vehicle didn't come out very well. Perhaps I will get another one in the future. The back end of the car as a great shape.

Going up the steep hill leading sw out of Aarhus past Viby and Stautrup. Underpowered and/or heavily loaded trucks often struggle here.
Tip: to locate trucks of particular interest to you, check my collections page, "truck collection" - here you will find all trucks organized in albums, by haulier (with zip-codes), year, brand and country.
Retirement age for trucks: many used trucks are offered for sale on international markets. If sold to a foreign buyer, this will not be listed in the danish motor registry, so a "retired" truck may or may not have been exported. In other words, the "retirement age" only shows the age, at which the truck stopped running on danish license plates.

Be forewarned. You may see a lot of pool photos this summer on my stream. Why? Because I love swimming. I spent almost a decade on swim team and I'm hoping my kids are game to do the same thing. Swimming is about the only sport that you can "do" your whole life. I see people in their 80s swimming laps at the pool and it makes me so happy for them.
From yesterday's first day of swim team. These are the 8 and unders.
Okay, it certainly doesn't have the same ring to it as "Streamliners at Spencer", but a special guest rode the rails into town on Saturday, June 21st.
Here's a pair of Iowa Pacific E8A's pausing with the train in the small town of Wauzeka in Crawford County.
After a late start, we finally caught up to the splendid-looking train here. Unfortunately, the train's ultimate destination of Prairie Du Chien would not be reached today thanks to traffic ahead (See the photos of WSOR 4050 earlier in my feed)
