Fowler Hollow Run traverses the park and provides trout fishing. The stream receives a mid-May stocking of brook trout.

Stream rushing down the slopes of Ikaria finding niches among the smooth boulders to form lovely little ponds..
There were a few small stream crossings on this trip. Most were of the shallow, rock hopping variety.....but the boots came off for this one. As you'd expect from seeing snow just above, the water was pretty chilly.

I was trying to use the lobelia to get the effect of a stream of water running downhill. They haven't grown together yet but from this angle, it appears that way. My inspiration is the famous "blue river" planting of grape hyacinths from the Keukenhof Gardens in The Netherlands.
