The main stream that drains Kalalau Valley. This tropical paradise can only be accessed by a difficult but amazing 11 mile hike along the coastal cliffs, or by sea kayak to the nearby beach. There is a main trail that goes up this canyon for 2 miles, but there's also an unmarked "Hippie Highway" trail that we opted to hike right along the river. There are gardens along the creek grown and cultivated by the 'hippies' that call this place home... mango trees, guava trees, papaya trees, all kinds of fruits and vegetables. One could literally live off the land back there, as some do.
Been wanting to try my new ND4 filter for some time. Seen this so thought id give it a shot. Took about 10mins to change lenses and setup, but i needed a rest from all the walking so it was a good excuse :)
The image shows a peaceful forest scene with a shallow stream running through it. The water is clear, reflecting the surrounding trees and greenery. Tall trees and lush plants line the stream, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
