the cool tear-drop effect came from the firemen putting out the fire in the studio in 2007. Our humble design studio in Chattanooga, TN — a converted old garage bay – from 2002-2010.
One side of coasters distributed to restaurants around the city to advertise the coming Visioning Event.
This was part of a marketing campaign to draw citizens to a visioning event to give their ideas on how the Chattanooga library system could be reinvented.
Other parts of the street marketing campaign were stickers, coasters and coffee cup sleeves — all done with the initial "Nothing Will Change" message, then followed by the altered "Everything Will Change" message. Ads direct mailers and web page were also part of the overall campaign.
The end result was a success, with over 200 people attending the visioning event (exceeding the 50 expected by the library consultants leading the event).
This was the 2nd panel a viewer would see as they were unfolding the mailer ... 11" x 8.5".
This original proposal for the Chattanooga Ad Fed's 2003 Call-for-entries for the ADDY awards was cancelled due to its risky subject matter... The concept of 'target shooting' was deemed inappropriate due to the notorious Maryland sniper (active at he time of the design).
The actual printed CFE is the other "ADDY Poster" concept featured in this set.

Florence Henri / New Vision / Caesarstone
.
Florence Henri was a female artist and photographer, and one of the most revolutionary surrealist photographers and painters of the 20th century, who changed the artistic perception of light and space.
🍐
Henri manipulated light and objects in order to create a dialogue between the realism and the abstraction, creating a hyper-realistic effect to her photographs. She experimented with mirror effects, angling them to create surreal still lives and self portraits marked by spatial ambiguity.
