The Strand Building was a classic example of a mixed use building. It included ground floor retail, apartments on the upper levels and a 500 seat movie theater in the back section of the building. Today the theater is closed and most the retail seemed to be empty although one store may have been open. I am not sure about the apartments on the upper floors.
