Quizá si tuviese un botón para parar y rebobinar lo habría desgastado hace mucho tiempo. Ese sentimiento de no haber hecho lo correcto, de elegir un mal camino, de haber dicho las palabras equivocadas. La angustia se enreda, se engancha a mi pecho.
Pero otras cosas podrían haber salido peor, otras elecciones podrían haber llevado a más errores. Así que no son errores, son experiencias que poquito a poco te hacen avanzar hacia delante. Aunque el futuro sea incierto. Y, de paso, finito.

The first train we saw on this trip and it came to a complete full stop right in front of us... XD

...even i disregarded HIS message, HE really made a way for me NOT to GO.
I don't know why?what HIS plans are? what will happen to me if i went all the way?but i believe, HE SAVED me, from whatever it maybe

When walking along the canal, visitors can notice quite unusual constructions, that looks like a covered bridge. I thought that it might be a one but was a bit puzzled when inspected it closer. Indeed, it appears to be a bridge, but the building, resting on it, has doors and a solid lock on them.
Later I learned that it is a stop gate. The building is a winch house that stored an actual winch and planks that are a bit wider than the foundation of the bridge. When Potomac is on the brink of the flooding, a temporary dam, or a stop gate, can be built, by lowering planks from the opening at the bottom of the house into the grooves on both sides of the foundation.
Just stumbled upon this shot from the stop the war march in London, 2003. No doubt I've got loads more on slide film somewhere....
