Once the sun starts hugging the horizon there's a street in Malacca, Malaysia, that closes to traffic and becomes a pedestrian food fair. It is called yonkers walk. This picture is along yonkers walk taken of the many different food stalls, enough to activate any salivary gland.

Part of the studio that Andrew Wyeth used later in his life. He probably sat on both of these seats quite frequently.
The lucky board of the round chair was installed.
It is a 3-minute interval.
It is an end on October 30.

This is my silent auction piece for the Currier auction.
Wharton Esherick was one of the first American designer/ makers of the modern era. Working from the twenties through the seventies, he built many small stools to this or similar designs. I fell in love with its simplicity and logical good looks.
This stool is older than I am. It started off being my Auntie Ada's. Then when she died it went to my parents, then when I moved out I inherited it :-)
A stool I painted for a charity raffle in high school. First I painted it with high gloss black latex paint; lightly dusted it with layers of white, light blue, and purple spray paint; added the constellation map and space facts with white paint and a white paint pen; and applied a layer of sealer (probably polyurethane) The stool was built by one of the carpentry students at my school.

I find it amusing when Butters naps under the stool and Luna tries to fit in there too. She saw me coming and started to move, which is why she’s kind of blurry.
Yes, I know I need to clean.
This little red stool sat in the bathroom with the scale atop it throughout my childhood. My grandmother bought it for me. I don't remember using it, but must have to reach my toothbrush.
I was delighted to see this in my sister's house.
we decided to to head out on the hills on Boxing Day and went for a walk on Kinder Scout in the Peak District. It was a grey and windy day, but ever the optimists we headed out onto the peat. A very windy ascent of Jacobs Ladder was followed by an unexpected break in the weather when we reached the summit plateau. The sun broke through for about an hour and light was just amazing....
This southern edge of Kinder Scout is shaped by the effects of the harsh weather and altitude, being dotted with distinctive rocky tor formations. This is a side view of the Noe Stool withthe Pagoda and the Pym Chair in the background.

Dot's Diner in Boulder, Colorado. It's still got those classic diner bar stools. Happily, I was able to take this pic w/o much notice. :)
