I had to step into the garage before heading out on my Thursday Walk, and I was so taken by the light that I fired off a couple of frames. Which was both clever and foolish. Clever because I rather like this shot, and foolish because I didn't bother to check the battery -- so my little X10 went toes up while I was framing the first photo taken on the walk.
Last month at the new (permanent!) residence of Ramen Dayo, and some of the most authentic-tasting ramen I’ve had this side of Japan. Note that John and I finally got our hands on the erstwhile sold-out melon soda, which (oddly, even more than the ramen) was a thoroughly 懐かしい taste of home-from-home! 🍈

These stools from the Greensboro lunch counter where four African American young men staged a sit-in protest as they demanded the elimination of segregation.
The Greensboro Sit-Ins were non-violent protests in Greensboro, North Carolina, which lasted from February 1, 1960 to July 25, 1960. The protests led to the Woolworth Department Store chain ending its policy of racial segregation in its stores in the southern United States.
The window is reflected in the mirror. Happy Window Wednesday.

GONE - These are beautiful stools, some of the best we have had so far, easy to adjust and very stable, with a great look that will fit both an industrial vintage or a more modern decor scheme. Highest 65cm, lowest 49cm
Out to dinner with friends. I was asked if I can put my left leg on top of the bar stool. The answer is here in this picture. Yes shoppers did turn their heads. Any thoughts??
