I am trying to make three stools, the tops are all cut to shape and drilled out for the legs, and the legs are all cut to length and size. I will start turning all the legs after Thanksgiving.
This stool was photographed exactly like this behind my wife's school house. It looks like a feather would knock it over but it somehow survived all the recent winter storms and years of preschoolers.

This is a stool I've been working on the last few weeks. My goal is to assemble a stool together using thermoforming, and through this, eliminate the need for fasteners. By using what would normally be considered "consequences" of vacuum-forming, the undercuts and trapping of wood add to it's structure.

From this shot I learned that there is a definite difference between a macro lens and a 70-200 with extension tubes... The plane of focus on the normal lenses is too curved and I should probably have use focus stacking. Who knew you needed focus stacking on a subject that is less than a millimeter tall…
