The farmhouse where Stonewall Jackson was brought after being shot by friendly fire. His arm was amputated and he was doing well bt then contracted pneumonia.
Some more totally unique and fascinating windows at the National Cathedral are the ones commemorating Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. Both men were known for their passionate and public displays of faith.
The Jackson window portrays him in four major depictions: as an officer, teacher and faithful Christian. The last scene is a representation of his famous last words, "Let us cross over the river, and rest under the shade of the trees".
Flags of Virginia and the Confederacy can be seen as well as three stars representing the rank of a Confederate general.

I guess hiking for about 2 miles in the opposite direction before finding this waterfall was worth it! HAH!
