I'm not sure what this stich is called in the sewing world but in my universe it's called a "power cable stitch." It is often used to sew burlap and other cloth bags shut but the entire stitch can then be pulled out by tugging on one thread to open the bag. For the Macro Mondays challenge, Stitch.
Happy Macro Monday!

The historic waterfront of Willemstad, Curaçao, featuring Fort Amsterdam and the colorful Handelskade buildings.
Fort Amsterdam is the oldest building on the island, built in 1634 by the Dutch West India Company.
It currently serves as the seat of the government and the governor of Curaçao.
Left is the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge, connecting the city's Punda and Otrobanda districts across St. Anna Bay.
The bridge is for pedestrians only and swings open laterally to allow ships to enter and leave the bay.
When the bridge is open, free ferries transport people across the water.
The colorful colonial-style buildings in the background are part of the historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.

Sadly the return "Herd of Wildebeest" was blighted by the same gloomy conditions which oversaw the outward run.
After a tactical withdrawal to Ed's gaff for coffee we returned to Cockwood as the tide was right in.
There were a fair few others present so I climbed the tree and dreamed up this shot using 3 separate images to create a pano' of the Paignton to Paddington working.
Don't know if it works or not but what I do know is that it would've looked a lot better in sun.

HMM - Happy Thanksgiving!!
There was a large group of white pelicans out in the Blackwater Refuge while we were there. They were far off in the distance, but was able to reach them with the long lens. To get both groups in one image, it did take four images, and stitching them together with the long lens.
Happy Macro Mondays guys! If you are reading this, i hope you will have a wonderful evening! :)

Macro photo of one of my favorite pair of sandals, for Macro Mondays theme "stitch."
I like the challenges for creativity that the Macro Mondays group provides each week. Practice and shutter clicks help me improve my skills. Thanks, Macro Mondays group and administrators! HMM
Even though this weeks theme is stitches, I like the composition of this photo, where the stitches of this shoe aren't really the focus. I feel that it reflects the oversight that many people have regarding stitches and how they go unnoticed in daily life.
This is why I love macro photography.
