A simple crochet stitch using a ribbon type yarn. I had not crocheted anything for ages but it came back to me instantly. Originally I was just doing it to take a picture but I think I might carry on. HMM everyone!

Happy Macro Monday! : )
This is similar to the other macro shoe shot on 3/22 but I used the in-camera focus bracketing (40) for this shot. I think I prefer the lighting in the first one.

Saves Nine
HMM Macro Monday~ Stitch
Stitch in time saves nine. The phrase “a stitch in time saves nine” was first recorded in 1732
Ounce of prevention and reference to 9 stitches in an inch, quilting technique.
On the hill above Ennerdale Water, I climbed down to this ridge. Unfortunately it was rather more dramatic than it appeared on first glance. The drop was sheer, though I felt well worth it for the shot. I stitched this in order to create the widest possible field of view, whilst keeping the elements of the landscape large and detailed.
Taken for the Macro Mondays group "Stitch" Challenge. A small detail of sequins sewn on a Christmas stocking.
