Our labrador Venz shaking off after swimming.
How much do you think that would cost in a Pub/Restaurant? With a cool glass of white wine just the job on a winters night.

Time out from this task! I have been scanning old photographs, it seems like FOREVER!!! It is a wonderful walk back in time, remembering great times raising four children. But, I sometimes feel sleepy as I scan, edit, save, and archive!
Rather than hit the treadmill, I turned to this form of comfort. This is leftover piecrust, turned into a mini pecan pie. And of course, a little ice cream makes the warm dessert a true delight.
Ok, back to scanning!
The best thing for a Saturday supper is a stir-fry. Mine is different every time I make it based on what's in the fridge. But I always use Asian noodles, my *secret* stir-fry sauce, and a topping of peanuts. Bon Apetit!

When Bond, James Bond, walks up to a bar in his tuxedo to order his drink of choice, he does so with class and sophistication. I wanted to create an image that no only showcases his chosen drink, but also one that represents that elegant sophistication of the man himself.
My. better half’s birthday was today. We had a family dinner. I made vegetarian Lo Mein, Tofu with king oyster mushrooms, Red cooked Pork, Chinese Broccoli, Clay pot chicken and rice, korean sweet potatoes, and this shrimp dish. Oh, and of course white rice. My wife made an apple pecan cake. Plenty of left overs for my daughters to take home.
From yesterday's northern James Bond-themed chase scene shot almost literally in my back yard here in Yellowknife at -32C (-44C windchill).
This features two brave and crazy models, Christy Climenhaga and one of my assistants, Christopher Gatto...who survived the deepfreeze handily (coffees were on me, without saying).
Why? Why not...beat watching TV.

It's a real thing and it's happening. Time to undo the seat belt and move about the cabin.
P.S. This is a single long exposure image.
When you're stuck inside after the sirens blow and the beaches are closed, and the stores are all closed, and the roads are all closed, you start getting creative with things around the house.....
The Brightness of Our Childhood (James Watkins)
The brightness of our childhood
is not completely spent-
but stirs again in drifting dreams-
restless and intense.
Rushing upward, out beyond
the envelope of time-
fueled by futures unfulfilled-
destined and divine.
Gloried, glazing glances-
of eternity-
identified by inward guide
sanctified and free.
Einstein has passed beyond
with pieces of the plan.
He bent the chart,
but missed the heart-
to greener grass he ran.
Organized and energized,
he answered aimlessly-
Beyond pure thought,
the artist wrought-
to answer flawlessly.
Explain the beauty of a lake,
or calling of the sea-
the lonely lover, or the lost-
explain these things to me.
Explain the hurting for a friend-
or mother's mournful cry-
the blazing host of stars that sing-
or the moment that we die.
Explain forever, or forgiveness-
explain both wrong and right-
or nature's curse,
the cause rehease-
an answer would be nice.
Or loose the light of childhood-
a flame still burning bright-
consuming fire of destiny-
devouring darkened night.
Return to heights heroic-
be partial in your place-
uniquely primed,
by grace designed,
to answer
with your faith.
