The World Press Photo is not a conventional photo exhibition. The rawness of most of the images does not leave you indifferent. Many consciences are stirred observing so much misfortune and pain caused by a sick species called Homo Sapiens.
They are reflections of the thousands of misfortunes that occur on our planet Earth. Many of them close to our comfortable life.
This photo was taken at the contest held at the CCCB (Barcelona) in 2016.

Social isolation better come to an end quickly .... or we will all end up like smiley ....hot, mad, and definitely .... "Stir Crazy"
Hope you like my little friend, he's actually a shopping trolley smiley token .... who hasn't been out much recently .... and went a little mental .... picked a daisy from the garden adorned himself with it and asked me to take his photo.
Just a little humour to get us through ..... "Happy days are coming soon.

This box and it's contents where in exceptional condition being over 50 years old. It looked almost brand new and came with paint stirrers. Even new paint used to have the oil floating on top and had to be stirred for a while.
So, what da ya know - 007 is caught delivering the shopping!
Electric Cat 88007, officially named "Electra" rather than the much more appropriate "James Bond", hustles through Winsford with the 6.16am Daventry - Mossend Euroterminal (4S43) containers, so helping keep Tesco's supply chain to the north intact.
With my train listed at number one on the display indicator I'd arrived at Winsford early enough to capture this, one of the more attractive freights of the day. The plan almost fell apart though when the full car-park had me scurrying to find somewhere else to leave the car, and eventually left me with a 15 minute brisk walk back to the station from the nearby industrial estate :(
Bit of a straightforward shot but it seems to work for this location, and the traction's not bad either. Struggling to keep on top of Flickr recently so I've opted to switch-off commenting for the last couple of uploads, and perhaps give other folk a rest too.

Dog walkers own the sidewalks of Rome these days. They're the only people permitted out and about who aren't necessarily going to a grocery store or pharmacy.
Although I have been sidetracked by the fox kits, I have also had some great heron moments in there as well over the past several weeks. I just needed the time to sift through all the photos.
"Ooh, stir it up
Little darlin', stir it up
Come on and stir it up
Little darlin', stir it up
It's been a long, long time
Since I've got you on my mind
And now you are here, I say it's so clear
See what we could do, honey
Just me and you, oh, we could stir it up
Little darlin', stir it up
Come on and stir it up
Ooh, little darlin', stir it up
I push the wood (stir it, stir it, stir it, yeah)
I blaze your fire (stir it, stir it, stir it, yeah)
Then I satisfy your, your heart's desire (stir it, stir it, stir it, yeah)
Said I stir it, yeah (stir it, stir it, stir it, yeah)
Every minute, yeah (stir it, stir it, stir it, yeah)
All you got to do, honey (stir it, stir it, stir it, yeah)
Is keep it in and stir it up (stir it,
stir it, stir it, yeah)
Little darlin', stir it up
Come on and stir it up
Ooh, little darlin', stir it up
Yeah." - Bob Marley ♫

Sometime ago I did a couple of these using plastic stir stix... I got out my gel pens today and after playing around with other comps, decided to try it with them and see what happened. Well, this is what happened. :)
Sometimes an image from my iPhone comes along and knocks my socks off. This was one of them just the other day...Cheers everyone. :)
“Ideally, martinis should be stirred, not shaken,” researchers report in the British Medical Journal. “That Bond would make such an elementary mistake in his preferences seemed incongruous with his otherwise impeccable mastery of culinary etiquette.”

The moose parade continues...I was creeping around trying to get an angle on two calfs when Dad stirred from a nap nearby...oops
UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock anounced the new rule will help prevent a second Covid peak - - - 9th September 2020
Social gatherings of more than six people will be illegal in England from next Monday - with some exemptions - amid a steep rise in coronavirus cases.
The law change will ban larger groups meeting anywhere socially indoors or outdoors, the government said.
Over 8000 new cases since Sunday; so I suppose these are likely to be the first of a host of new restrictions.
I like my own company but even I am starting to go "stir crazy".
Looking West from Worthing pier on yesterdays high tide, the shorebreak was an incredible muddy colour and the sky told of bad weather come, shortly after we left the pier the beach patrol came along and closed it as the sea was too dangerous they said

Then, take a cup of clear blue sky.
Stir in buzzes from a bee,
Add the laughter of a tree.
A dash of sunlight should suffice
To give the dew a hint of spice.
Mix with berries, plump and sweet.
Top with fluffy clouds, and eat!
