I use two different approaches. Sometimes I work from what I print out using a laser printer and other times I just draw it out. I find that when a lot of black is involved it's cheaper and easier to use the laser printer ink from the computer. Sometimes I will scan my drawing into the computer to reproduce later. You could also draw it out and take it to the copy shop to make copy's on sheets of sticker paper as well.

i used a flash when i took the pics, so please bear in mind that the colors could be slightly different in person - particularly in the cases of shiny, metalic, or holographic stickers or packaging ^-^

FC13 sticker # 87
my very first collage using the artist name "FANCLUB 13"
i was still struggling with how to make the imprint and just used a stencil. Was considering making the stickers with the large "PAY NO ATTENTION" but later decided to make the imprints the same for the stickers as they are for the "relationships."
from a post I made on this day:
"RAYJOHNSONFANCLUB becomes FANCLUB13. "Today is January Friday the 13th. Exactly 21 years after #RayJohnson dyed himself dead. In his honor I'm watching #howtodrawabunny again. And I am officially changing my nom d'artiste to: FANCLUB13. I will continue to update my sites with the work I have already completed before today as #rayjohnsonfanclub. But henceforth I will work only under the name #FANCLUB13 and you can eventually see all my future work @fanclub.13 or www.fanclub13.com"
this blue, Hello My Name Is sticker was made using trash from the streets on 1/13/17 while sitting at Black Crow Coffee at 722 2nd St N. in Old Northeast St. Pete.
It was stuckup the same night on the back of a stop sign on 7th Street N. beside the Morean Arts Center.
"Stickers 2" 300 Pages Of Street Stickers & Posters From Hundreds Of Great Artists Around The Globe! Really Nice Publication Available From All Good Bookshops! This Is An Old Flick Of A Traffic Sign I "Customised" Back In 2007 Which Features In The BOOK!
Ok, here's a close-up detail of two more of these stickers that were part of my Weekly Reader Sticker poster. The top one is Kindergarten Drop Out and the bottom is Coalgate Toothpaste. They were kind of like Wacky Packages.
A craft idea I did with my kids:
Supplies:
1 pieces blue construction paper
1 piece white or green construction paper (depending if you want snow or grass)
Glue
Scissors
Stickers
Plastic paper sheaths
3 Ring Binder
Take the white or green paper and cut in half with wavy slopes like hills. Glue onto the blue paper so that the square un-cut edge of the cut paper lines up with the bottom of the blue paper. Do the same with the second white/green piece on the other side of the blue construction paper.
Once dry, slip the construction paper in the plastic sheaths. Children can then decorate the snowy or green hills with the sticker. The plastic makes it easier for them to move stickers around if they change their mind. You can keep these pages in a binder.
