Experimenting with sticker designs. They seem so cool at barcamps, I figured it was time to make my own. This is one of the promo stickers I'm getting printed for the Revolt from the Singles Table book. The hand was shot with my Ricoh GRD, processing in Photoshop.
Lighting: Contax TLA280 reflected into a 42in umbrella from the right of the image. Triggered with Gadget Infinity radio devices. Umbrella was suspened using my shoe laces in the small corridor of the dorm room I had in Tokyo (had to reduce weight and therefore left my light stand at the airport - Tokyo Shoestring Lighting).

RJFC Sticker #28 was completed 5/3/2013 using trash found on the streets of London. I made it while sitting at Starbucks in Victoria Station.
I left it the same day on a bus shelter advertisement in London, England, along Buckingham Palace Road between Victoria Station and Victoria Coach Station.

USING TRASH OFF THE STREETS TO MAKE ART ON THE STREETS.
I use only trash and found items to collage these handmade, signed & numbered stickers. They are made to compliment my larger works which in which I use trashy paperback book covers, record & magazine covers, CDs, posters, postcards and other mass-produced media as a base for my hand-cut & paste collages, which I usually leave out on the streets for anyone to enjoy (or destroy.)

I saw this goldfish card in the valentine card display at Target, at first thought it was my tickles goldfish!!! the stickers on the left look like my designs too. :(
I wish i could make stuff like this.
The goldfish ripoff of my "tickles goldfish" valentine is for my nephew.
see my tickles avatar? with the heart? that was the original tickles design from 1998... similar to the CARD. :(

Laurel getting into some stickers from a kiddie pasta meal. Pop-Pop took the packaging with them in it and put it on the cupboard door temporarily, but Laurel made such a fuss he gave it to her. She promptly stuck them on her face and walked around saying "stick! stick!" and rearranging them on her hands and face until they lost their adhesiveness.

And if you can't tell what they are, they're blank "knuckle tattoo" stickers. Paint pen or a permanent marker + sticker = something clever that doesn't cost you 60 bucks and your job for the real thing.

I use two different approaches. Sometimes I work from what I print out using a laser printer and other times I just draw it out. I find that when a lot of black is involved it's cheaper and easier to use the laser printer ink from the computer. Sometimes I will scan my drawing into the computer to reproduce later. You could also draw it out and take it to the copy shop to make copy's on sheets of sticker paper as well.

i used a flash when i took the pics, so please bear in mind that the colors could be slightly different in person - particularly in the cases of shiny, metalic, or holographic stickers or packaging ^-^
