Last night Stephen Colbert unveiled his own official Vancouver Olympic poster, designed by Shepard Fairey. It's at the end of the interview towards the end and it was so close I resized it to 320x480 for use as iPhone wallpaper.

This is what is currently being broadcast on Comedy Central on my DirecTV box

VIACOM WANTS YOU TO PAY OVER 30% MORE to get back the same channels you were already receiving.

That’s over $1B on top of what you were already paying for not only MTV and Nickelodeon, but also all of their other channels that you might never watch. You should be able to decide which Viacom channels you want and which you don’t.

To thank you for your patience until Viacom channels are returned, all 8 Encore Channels (including Encore Family) will be made available to all of our Residential customers thru July 31st.

There are 18 channels in dispute, and the only one I watch is Comedy Central (The Daily Show, Colbert Report are staples for me), but I want to watch it!

The crew were all very cool, friendly, and funny. And they were total pros. It was really an amazing thing to watch.

2013 Valedictory Exercises held at John Paul Jones Arena, featuring guest speaker Stephen Colbert.

It is no surprise, then, that presidential portraiture has been a major collecting concern at the National Portrait Gallery ever since it opened its doors in 1968 so I was pleasantly surprised to find this portrait of Stephen Colbert in the men's room just down the hall considering he roasted President Bush at the White House Correspondents Dinner back in 2006.

Needless to say he delivered a controversial and searing routine which not only targeted the president but also the media.

I went to the rally in D.C. today, there was a gigantic crowd, had to be at least 200,000, they whole event was great and the message was one that we should all pay heed too. Jon Stewart for President 2012!

Pack Creek on Admiralty Island is a natural estuary and small reserve for Brown Bears. This little mommy and her three babies were very curious about us and what we were doing. She brought them to within 15 feet of us.

NBC's Bob Costas rides the moose at the conclusion of his interview. The crowd kept chanting "ride the moose" when Costas arrived on stage and he promised he would at the end, if only to shut us up.

Update: Apparently the moose now resides in the main NBC studio at the International Broadcast Centre, aka the Vancouver Convention Centre.

To get around the IOC's draconian licensing rules, The Colbert Report called its Vancouver 2010 Olympic shows: "Exclusive Vancouverage of the 2010/Quadrennial Cold Weather Athletic Competition/Defeat the World! " It's very similar to what LuluLemon called its non-authorized clothing line: "Cool Sporting Event That Takes Place in British Columbia Between 2009 & 2011 Edition"
