High tide at Le Hocq, Jersey Channel Islands, creates a stepping stone path to a small rocky island just off the coast.

That wonderful moment of stepping into a skirt, pulling it up your legs and zipping it up. Then wiggling it to make sure all is straight and where it should be. Still feels great after all these years.

My goal with this series is to explore every day scenes under the cover of darkness. A street corner, a lamp post, a doorway. Big city, small town, urban, rural. On the afternoon of April 22, 2022, Paducah & Louisville train LG1X is seen passing through the small community of Stephensburg, KY. This empty coal train originated from Louisville Gas & Electric's Mill Creek power plant and is on its way to reload at a mine in western Kentucky. Lead unit P&L 4522 wears a special paint scheme for the University of Kentucky basketball program.
The same whitetail doe as in the previous image, here following her yearling twins across the water. Her left front leg is hurt so crossing the pond is difficult for her.
