If I ever stop challenging myself, then I am getting lazy and comfortable and I am no longer growing. I hope to use life's challenges as stepping stones to ever greater things.

This is the trail going in to Cape Flattery at the tip of the Olympic Peninsula.
We've had a lot of dark, rainy days in the past couple of months.
This is the Vancouver City Hall, an 85 year old building, looking rather eerie on another gloomy day.

I loved the juxtaposed lines of exterior, interior and purported interior........
This is Canyon Creek from the northbound side of I-5, just a few miles south of Canyonville, Oregon. The picture I took a couple of days ago was from the opposite side of the freeway. Both sides were a little tricky to get to because the sides of the banks are steep and no path.
Not all is as it seems. The lady of course is part of a poster, but a very convincing one I must say. The compression of the image is due to the long lens I shot this with (from across the street). The biggest problem were all the taxi cabs which were queuing here (in front of Harrads in Knightsbridge) as they kept getting into the shot.

A bit more perspective of my closeup of the dune in Sossusvlei, Namibia that I posted earlier in the week. The iron in the sand makes such a beautiful red-orange glow at dawn and dusk. This country is a photographer's paradise and the people were wonderful and welcoming. 20230618SossisvlaiSunset1
