Never seen steel wool used like this before so thought I'd give it a try, all the light is coming from the steel wool.
Before the health and safety police moan at me, it was far enough in front/behind her to not burn her, the camera and Brian were in a much more dangerous position however.
Thankx Jeroen for preforming :)

One shot, 578 seconds, 2 lenses swapped mid exposure .... no editing ...
50mm, chucked stones in the water and popped flash, lit the rock and water with a torch, swapped to 8mm, spun wool, painted fire men with a plastic sainsburys bag on a torch, closed shutter
Extra points for being able to see the giant dog in the sky :)

This was my second event doing Steel wool. We had a blast with the members of the Ottawa Shutterbugs.
At a recent meeting of the Potteries Photography Club, we had a session of Paintimng With light. One of the members ignoited some steel wool and spun it around in a circle. The tracks of the burning wool produced this image, which was reflected in the canal marina where we were shooting.

365 days, a moment from each day, a click and it's saved. One year ago, I was optimistic for the year ahead, with no clue what would play out. And so much did happen. My life changed in ways I could never have imagined. That MRI in February. My son got engaged in July, while I was home to help celebrate! Surgery in August. Learning to walk again in the months afterwards. And my amazing man, walking beside me and encouraging me every step of the way. It's December 31st and it's all good now. And, I took a photo every single day. That's pretty cool! Life is pretty cool! :-)
Happy New Year Everyone and all the best to you in 2016!

#93 Light Painting
A great weekend away in wales with some excellent company. This is a shot from a marathon day lightpainting in a dark ammo dump, I had visited the day before to get some inspiration & to have a think about some potential shots. When I returned I managed to bag this which I was quite happy with as it had taken a few attempts the day before to get the line up right. There is one door way, panned, rotated and one exposure. Cheers
