#0000 steel wool is used because it doesn't scratch surfaces .... when seen close up you have to wonder why.

My first attempt. Quite a few schoolboy errors made but will definitely learn from it and I will probably try again at some point.

more steelwool fun....

I waited for the rain stopped falling then I went out to the park right next to my apt. I spun the diy steel wool rig with led strings for first time. It turned out very well. :)

Another one taken for a friend's band, pretty standard steel wool shot but I really love the way it lights the cave up.

Was going to start 2018 with a redo of one of my favourites from 2017, but I haven't finished editing it yet so here's this instead:)

Another quick trip to a remote abandoned factory this time with a willing victim. I had to cut my evening a little short due to still suffering with "man flu" (It's a real thing, not imagined!)

Macro ICM of coarse steel wool; diagonal movement with a twist.

Developed with Darktable 3.6.0.

29/08/2015; I intended to make an orb in this steelwool burning attempt, but I turned out to make a conjoined twin version instead... XD

I have gotten the impression burning steelwool isn't being appreciated or understood very well, here on Flickr, but I'm continuing to post photos of it anyway. So...

17/11/2018; When your original steelwool idea fails because of the wind, and 1 of the 2 people you're with suggests to go to this location. Best idea of that evening.
