It's probably just a coincidence that I rescued this cat on Friday the 13th. That he is the 13th cat in my house right now, and that he is Cat 113 and that it is December of 2013. However it is an interesting set of statistics.
Spenny is about 8 years old and he is coming from a messy divorce. The wife left the husband some time ago and her dogs and cats stayed behind along with most of her possessions. The husband is now threatening to shoot the animals if she doesn't take possession of them by December 15. I generally make it my policy not to take cats that are other people's responsibilities, but this is a dire situation. At first I put a courtesy posting on some of the local sites. I found a heated shop home that will take the other 2 cats, but it's not as simple as that. There are restraining orders involved and the Ex husband lives some distance away. There are also young children involved.
When the Ex Husband took the kids for the weekend he brought Spenny and one of the dogs. The father of the Ex Wife met him at a neutral location, I think. So Spenny was confined inside 2 laundry baskets taped together (reminds me of Max) by the Ex Husband and when I arrived at the place where the Ex Wife is staying to pick up Spenny, he was inside a small crate in the garage. They couldn't take him into the house because someone inside the house has severe allergies to cats.
I am trying to get the other 2 cats, and I have offered the Ex Husband $100 for them (through the father of the Ex Wife). If I can get them, they should be arriving on Sunday. The 3 cats know each other so it is possible the location I found for the other 2 might take Spenny too. Just in case she doesn't want all 3, I have posted Spenny as an available to adopt.
Spenny is quite upset, though he has calmed down quite a bit overnight. I'm sure he doesn't like the smells from all my other cats and also I think he could sense that his humans were upset. The Ex Wife was crying heart wrenching sobs over him when I picked him up. I think she was mostly upset because she thinks the other 2 cats are already dead. I truly hope that they are still alive and can be saved. I personally just think that the Ex Husband didn't have a way to transport the other cats so he didn't bring them yet. I have offered (again through the third party) to take cat carriers and go out and pick up the cats.
UPDATE (MARCH 10, 2014). I received word today that the other two cats were returned, safe and sound, to the Ex Wife yesterday. The Ex Wife now has a place of her own, so she is able to keep the cats and I do not need to help her find a home for them.

DESTINY CHILD GOSPEL MUSIC TALENT HUNT is a nonprofit kingdom project tailored to give talented gospel music ministers a platform to showcase their creativity and launch them into professional gospel music career. Destiny Child is a brand created to compliment the church in spreading the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. Statistics has shown that Gospel music in Nigeria over the years has declined tremendously and fading off the airwaves based on the fact that the church failed in its statutory responsibility in developing Gospel music and as such, many Gospel music ministers in the Church embrace the world of secular music in return for fame and money.
Destiny child came to bridge this divide and to activate dormant destines by grooming Gospel music ministers who have the passion to affect the world positively.
The inaugural season of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt took place on July 3rd 2012 when Nigeria marked the birth of the first of its kind gospel music Talent Hunt. Four (4) finalists emerged from each audition zone making a total of Twenty – four (24) contestants, eight (8) were eliminated at the pre-audition stage in Lagos, while sixteen (16) destined contestants made it through to DC City (Destiny Child City) in Lagos State where the competition (Elimination Shows) continued. At DC City, they were groomed spiritually, psychologically, morally and exposed to professional training, week after week, the number DIMINISHED until the final six emerged, tagged ‘THE SUPREME SIX (6)’.

The Supreme Six embarked on a nationwide gospel praise party tagged “PRODUCT OF HOPE” where they performed hit songs from their albums. The Gospel praise party kicked off from Lagos, then to Akure, Ilorin, Calabar, Port–Harcourt, Makurdi, and Abuja. Product of Hope activated the enthusiasm of Christians in gospel music and it was indeed a testimony as we kept receiving great deeds of God.
The second edition of this project kicked off in August 2013, with auditions in nine states in Nigeria (Abuja, Makurdi, Owerri, Port-Harcourt, Uyo, Asaba, Benin, Ekiti and Lagos). Audition judges were picked from each state (Audition zone) for the purpose of diversity in music genre, style, culture and language; all contestants were rated judiciously irrespective of style and language. Two contestants were picked from each audition zone EXCLUDING EKITI AND LAGOS WHERE 1 AND 3 CONTESTANTS WHERE SELECTED RESPECTIVELY making a total of 18. The 18 finalists made it through to DC City and made history with every passing episode. They were groomed spiritually, psychologically and exposed to professional music. At DC City, they were specifically schooled to lift the name of the God and our world with power of their voice and soul.
Season two (2) came to an end with outstanding performances from the finalists called “THE PROLIFIX”. For the very first time history was made as the crowned title was destined for a girl (Joy Ebiem aka J’dess) from the slums of Lagos, she emerged as the winner of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt Season 2. Bournemouth .With seven miles of golden sands and sparkling sea, the vibrant cosmopolitan town of Bournemouth has it all - a vast variety of shops, restaurants and holiday accommodation, buzzing nightlife and endless countryside with beautiful award winning gardens and water sports galore. Bournemouth is a large coastal resort town in the ceremonial county of Dorset, England. According to the mid-year estimates for 2010 from the Office for National Statistics the town has a population of 168,100, making it the largest settlement in Dorset. It is also the largest settlement between Southampton and Plymouth. With Poole and Christchurch, Bournemouth forms the South East Dorset conurbation, which has a total population of about 400,000.
Founded in 1810 by Lewis Tregonwell, Bournemouth's growth accelerated with the arrival of the railway, becoming a recognised town in 1870. Historically part of Hampshire, it joined Dorset with the reorganisation of local government in 1974. Since 1997 the town has been administered by a unitary authority, meaning that it has autonomy from Dorset County Council. The local authority is Bournemouth Borough Council. Bournemouth's location on the south coast of England has made it a popular destination for tourists. The town is a regional centre of business, home of the Bournemouth International Centre and financial companies that include Liverpool Victoria and PruHealth.
Although Bournemouth is on the coast, the centre of the town lies inland - the commercial and civil heart of the town being the Square. From the Square the Upper and Lower Pleasure Gardens descend to the seafront and the pier. Areas within Bournemouth include Bear Cross, Boscombe, Kinson, Pokesdown, Westbourne and Winton. Traditionally a large retirement town, Bournemouth (mostly the Northbourne, Southbourne and Tuckton areas of Bournemouth together with the Wallisdown, and Talbot Village areas of Poole) has seen massive growth in recent years, especially through the growth of students attending Bournemouth University and the large number of language schools teaching English as a foreign language.
Bournemouth is located directly to the east of the Jurassic Coast, a 95-mile ( 153 km ) section of beautiful and largely un spoilt coastline recently designated a World Heritage Site. Apart from the beauty of much of the coastline, the Jurassic Coast provides a complete geological record of the Jurassic period and a rich fossil record. Bournemouth sea front overlooks Poole Bay and the Isle of Wight. Bournemouth also has seven miles ( 11 km ) of sandy beaches that run from Hengistbury Head in the east to Sandbanks, in Poole, in the west.
Because of the coastal processes that operate in Poole Bay, the area is often used for surfing. An artificial reef was expected to be installed at Boscombe, in Bournemouth, by October 2008, using large sand-filled geotextile bags. However, this deadline was not met, and the construction was actually finished at the end of October 2009. The Boscombe Reef was constructed as part of the larger Boscombe Spa Village development. Bournemouth also has several chines ( e.g., Alum Chine ) that lead down to the beaches and form a very attractive feature of the area.
The Dorset and Hampshire region surrounding Bournemouth has been the site of human settlement for thousands of years. However, in 1800 the Bournemouth area was largely a remote and barren heathland. No one lived at the mouth of the Bourne River and the only regular visitors were a few fishermen, turf cutters and gangs of smugglers until the 16th century. During the Tudor period the area was used as a hunting estate, Stourfield Chase, but by the late 18th century only a few small parts of it were maintained, including several fields around the Bourne Stream and a cottage known as Decoy Pond House, which stood near where the Square is today.
With the exception of the estate, until 1802 most of the Bournemouth area was common land. The Christchurch Inclosures Act 1802 and the Inclosure Commissioners' Award of 1805 transferred hundreds of acres into private ownership for the first time. In 1809, the Tapps Arms public house appeared on the heath. A few years later, in 1812, the first residents, retired army officer Lewis Tregonwell and his wife, moved into their new home built on land he had purchased from Sir George Ivison Tapps. Tregonwell began developing his land for holiday letting by building a series of sea villas. In association with Tapps, he planted hundreds of pine trees, providing a sheltered walk to the beach ( later to become known as the ~ Invalids walk ). The town would ultimately grow up around its scattered pines. In 1832 when Tregonwell died, Bournemouth had grown into small community with a scattering of houses, villas and cottages.

Bournemouth Borough Council bought the waterfront building named Imax complex, from long leaseholders Nilgosc for about £7m in 2010. It will cost another £2m to have it demolished. The authority had hoped to keep the structure, but to lower it by 25ft ( 8m ) and turn it into an all-weather leisure centre or cultural attraction. John Beesley, leader of Bournemouth council, said demolition work would not begin until after the holiday season and it was hoped the work would be finished by summer 2013.The building opened as an Imax cinema in 2002 despite protests from residents against the plans.

Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Transnistria) official statistics show that 91 percent of the Transnistrian population adhere to Eastern Orthodox Christianity, with 4 percent adhering to the Catholic Church. Roman Catholics are mainly located in Northern Transnistria, where a notable Polish minority is living.
Transnistria's government has supported the restoration and construction of new Orthodox churches. It affirms that the republic has freedom of religion and states that 114 religious beliefs and congregations are officially registered. However, as recently as 2005, registration hurdles were met with by some religious groups, notably the Jehovah's Witnesses. In 2007, the US-based Christian Broadcasting Network denounced the persecution of Protestants in Transnistria
