Nog is het mogelijk dit soort foto's te maken op station Pirschheide in Potsdam. Echter, vanaf 2021 gaat alles op de schop en wordt het station volledig vernieuwd. Op 26 juni 2020 was ik weer eens op mijn lievelingsstation en zag hoe loc 187 113 met een gemengde trein naar Seddin door het station reed.
Ab 2021 soll alles hier anders aussehen und steht die Reisenden in Pirschheide wieder ein gepflegter Bahnhof zur Verfügung. Bis dahin kann man die Zeit allerdings nutzen um derartige Bilder zu machen. Im Bild zu sehen ist die 187 113 welche gerade mit einem gemischten Güterzug gen Seddin unterwegs ist...
Deutsche Bahn engine 187 113 was spotted on June 26th 2020 with a short freight train to Seddin in Pirschheide in Potsdam. The time to make pictures such as these is slowly coming to an end, next year this place will be unrecognizable as the station will be getting a makeover as passenger traffic on the upper level will be resumed in 2021...
Dent Railway Station - Settle-Carlisle Railway - the highest mainland station in England
The station was first opened for public use on 6th August 1877. It was closed in 1970 and re-opened in 1986 at which time the station was sold by Railtrack.
Apart from being Britain’s highest mainline station at 1150 feet above sea level, it is unusual in that it is situated four miles away and 600 feet higher than the actual village of Dent
In 1908 werd de spoorlijn verlegd, waardoor het station iets verder van het strand kwam te liggen en tegelijk dichter bij het dorp. Er kwam toen ook een nieuw stationsgebouw, dat nu nog in gebruik is. Het ontwerp was waarschijnlijk van D.A.N. Margadant, de architect van de HSM.[2][3] Hierdoor werd tevens de extra halte Zandvoort Dorp, die overbodig was geworden, gesloten. Het huidige station droeg vanaf 1 juni 1921 de naam Zandvoort Bad. Op 22 mei 1955 werd de naam Zandvoort aan Zee. Er was een perronkap op het perron, deze werd gesloopt in 1996.

In 1908, the railway line was relocated, which brought the station a little further from the beach and closer to the village. A new station building was also built at that time, which is still in use today. The design was probably by D.A.N. Margadant, the architect of the HSM.[2][3] This also caused the additional Zandvoort Dorp stop, which had become redundant, to be closed. The current station was called Zandvoort Bad from 1 June 1921. On 22 May 1955, it was renamed Zandvoort aan Zee. There was a platform roof on the platform, which was demolished in 1996.

I had to rebuild the right corner after Photoshop remove tools couldn't get a distraction out cleanly and completely. That involved a gradient and a few tools to make it look almost seamless. .. Thanks Tom

I am back home. We evacuated for three nights. The center of the eye passed us by about 30 miles. We were on the Northwest side, and our community sustained only modest damage. It is hard to believe our good fortune, and we feel for those to the south of us...
The station was repainted a couple of years ago and is now quite an attractive small one.
Oakham railway station, opened in 1848 serves the town of Oakham in Rutland, England. The station is situated almost halfway between Leicester to the west – and Peterborough to the east, the line is the Birmingham to Peterborough Line.
Served by EMR - East Midland Railways - and Cross Country, officially XC Trains.

A pair of Southern Pacific GP60s rumble past Union Station in Joliet, Illinois. The depot opened to much fanfare in 1912, at the time serving six different railroads and over 100 intercity trains per day.
Britomart Station is unique as the only underground rail station in the world servicing diesel-powered rolling stock. This meant significant challenges for fire engineering, acoustics and air quality.
Britomart Transport Centre is Auckland's major transportation hub. It is used for both bus and train travel.

I had to pop out from work today to see a local subcontractor, so took the opportunity to see what was on the Round Oak.
DBS Class 66, 66230 crosses Station Road, Brierley Hill. with 6M81 loaded steel from Margam to Round Oak. To the right, the train is passing through the site of Brierley Hill Station, opened in 1858 and closed in 1962.

An abandoned train station in upstate New York, as it appeared in 2019. The station will soon begin undergoing renovation as part of the adjacent Albany County (New York) Rail Trail, which follows an old Delaware and Hudson line.

On the way home from DuPont State Forest, we stopped at Station Cove Falls in Walhalla, SC. The 3/4 mile hike led to a 60 ft waterfall. Unfortunately the flow was low because of the drought, but it was still a pretty waterfall. I'd like to visit again when the flow is better.

One of the other stations in evidence along the Monsal trail. This station served Longstone as well as Ashford.
Opened on 1st June 1863, it survived almost a century before its closure in 1962 to passengers, and completely in 1967.
It is now a private residence, leaving me to wonder what this bustling station was like in days gone by.
