"Static Guy" provided our introduction to the world of Steampunk several years ago and has been a fixture at all the events we've attended ever since. We always enjoy seeing him and catching up a bit. He made his head dress using a 3D printer.

This is the other half of my hyperstereo setup. At a time when light is sufficient I hold the second camera with my one hand while releasing both cameras by a radio remote trigger with my other hand. The frame stabilization of the zoom lens provides the freedom to shoot without a second tripod which makes a hike - like to this place - a lot easier.

So, I catch very few of these in flight, but I did manage to pick up on this one hanging out…. literally…. over Horsepen Bayou. He/she did show off beautifully on this particular day and stuck around until I had to reach for the paddle to make some adjustments to the path of the canoe.
