So... I took this shot right outside my work today on my lunch break. I can't believe I caught something wonderful two days in a row! I just seem to be seeing things, life, everyday, whatever... so much differently when I look through my eyes lately. Thanks, Nikon and Flickr! *grumble* ;-)
Actually, I really apprecaite the change. It has made life, well, better. More full? I don't know, but it's definitely more colorful. Go figure. :-)
PS: I know how many pics of flowers are on Flickr, but really good ones just appeal to me so much I just have to shoot them. Even if I miss some of my lunch. **Even better when viewed large, imho...**
Goat's Foot is a primary sand stabilizer being one of the first plants to colonise the dune. It grows on almost all parts of the dune but is usually found on the seaward slopes sending long runners down towards the toe of the dune. The sprawling runners spread out from the woody rootstock but the large 2-lobed leaves are sparse and a dense cover on the sand is rarely achieved except in protected situations. This plant grows in association with sand spinifex grass and is a useful sand binder thriving under conditions of sand blast and salt spray
This is a standout I ordered for the mother of these boys. It's 16x20 and is going to look fabulous on her wall!

the original of the photo I uploaded yesterday, I spent a while trying to sharpen and then remove the colour from the boys hat in photoshop as I felt it detracted from the overall image, but on closer inspection of the large image, there were sections missing from the hat, the coat and umbrella, I had orginally created a second layer in PS and then used the magic eraser to add back the colour, I didnt zoom in close enough to pick up the missing bits and merged the layers (saved as JPEG). Put this original back up to see if anyone has any quick or better ways to remove the hat colour.
