I needed to clear my head and have a serenity prayer moment this morning, so what better way to do that than take a little hike in the hills behind my house, I'm lucky to live in a somewhat rural area of San Diego, and with Spring in full bloom how could some fresh air, exercise and all this not lift my spirits?
This isn't intended to come out, but is one of the series of shots while focusing. It is >5x lifesize and a tremor will definitely blur or may create a bokeh like this. The lightings was adjusted using curves. Sharpness was also adjusted through the use of unsharp mask.

Walking around in a vineyard and spotted this one singular grape shining amongst the leaves as if it were special somehow. So I took a picture of a very special grape. Fifteen seconds of fame?
This magic wand is a standout in the Egyptian Hall Museum's collection of wands from notable magicians.
Fetaque (pronounced FEE-TAKE) Sanders (1915-1992) began performing in the 1930's, and toured with the USO during World War II. After health issues forced him to retire in the 1960's, he became a renowned magic collector and was elected to the Society Of American Magicians Hall Of Fame And Museum.

ECCC Lady Warrior Orton Continuing Career
Ja’Monica Orton (seated center), a basketball standout the past two seasons at East Central Community College in Decatur, is continuing her career on the university level. Orton, a 6’ guard, is shown signing a national letter of intent with Wright State University, located in her hometown of Dayton, OH, as Lady Warrior head coach Bill Smith (left) and assistant Britta Stephens look on. Orton was an All-Region 23 and first team MACJC All-State selection for two seasons and was named to the 2012 MACJC All-Star Team. She averaged 17.4 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game and helped lead the Lady Warriors to the first round of the 2012 MACJC State Basketball Tournament. During her career at EC, Orton made 86 percent of attempts from the free throw line and connected on 41 percent of shots from the field. Orton is a product of Walter E. Stebbins High School.
