Definitely a standout in the parking lot of a contemporary golf resort -- as best as I can tell, a fifth generation (mid 60's) GMC Suburban V6.
A former Mississippi College hoops standout, Clarence Jeffery visits his alma mater in Clinton in early July. A 2009 MC kinesiology graduate, Jeffery has played pro basketball in the Phillipines and Mongolia in recent years. After a practice session at the A.E. Wood Coliseum, the former Madison Central High star was flying to Las Vegas for games with other basketball players seeking spots on pro rosters in Europe with coaches and scouts looking on.
Took a break while revising met up with this cat. Bet the cat was waiting for the photo. :-D.

Today, I had to have a conversation with a student who recently enrolled at my school. He was having a struggle with a few inappropriate comments directed towards his female classmates. While I talked with him I mentioned I knew the assistant principal at his former school, he looked at me with worry. Then he leaned forward and with every bit of seriousness he could muster asked if I had read his file.
Sometimes these kids make me really laugh.
This isn't a style you see much in La Mesa, the Colonial/Greek Revival/Plantationoid. The size isn't typical of the neighborhood, either. A little way up Yale Ave. from Helix High, if you want to know.

Looking at the original photo, I could see all kinds of colour and action going on. But the thing that caught my eye was the guy in the lime green shirt, because there was nothing else in the photo with that colour. Perfect candidate for this treatment.

A standout performance art piece by monica jahan bose called sublime virtue. the piece was to raise the issue of the exploitation of girls and women in developing countries with the bed representing the freedom to choose whom to love. the bed was set in the iconic intersection of water and washington streets. it was a crowd favorite and bose displayed her cell phone number and an invitation to text her with comments and questions .
