On peut être liés sans jamais se faire face. Certaines chorégraphies ne racontent pas l'amour. Elles racontent

la force qu'il faut pour ne pas lâcher.

EN You can be connected without ever facing each other.

Some choreographies aren't about love. They're about finding the strength not to let go.

Captured beneath the warm glow of stage lights, this elegant portrait showcases a talented young saxophonist enjoying a lighthearted moment before or during a performance. Seated on a stage stool and holding a gleaming gold alto saxophone, she smiles naturally toward the camera, conveying the excitement, confidence, and passion that define live music. Her sophisticated black halter dress and white high heels create a timeless, stylish look that contrasts beautifully with the dark theater backdrop and dramatic lighting.

The polished brass instrument catches the stage lights, adding warmth and visual interest while emphasizing the artistry of both the musician and the performance. The soft bokeh lights suspended above the stage create depth and atmosphere, giving the portrait a cinematic quality that evokes the anticipation of a live concert. The relaxed pose and genuine expression highlight the human side of music, capturing not only technical skill but also the joy and emotion that come with performing.

One from my archives. Just a shot of some of the lights at the concert I photographed back in July. I've been asked to photograph another one in a few weeks. The last one raised almost £500 for Helen & Douglas House so I very much hope we can do the same again.

EN People say dance defies gravity but it doesn't.

It negotiates with it.

Every rise is a fragile agreement between discipline and surrender. A few seconds where the body leaves the ground without ever denying where it came from.

Grace isn't the absence of weight, it's the art of carrying it beautifully.
