Stiletto Fly (Taenogerella elizabethae (family Therevidae))
Just because I like the way the Jade Plant looked like a stage for the Stiletto Fly!
Have a fab FriYay and a super weekend everyone!
Happy Fly Day Friday!
I don't often take portrait format photographs but didn't think there was any other way to capture this. I was amazed at the gentle graduation of colour and the way the little tree looked like it was taking centre stage.
Snow geese depart the safe haven of Bosque del Apache for a day of feeding in the fields to the north. The warm rays of the rising sun illuminate the slopes of the Chupadero Mountains in the background.
Stages of becoming, at this point the leaves are changing from Green to Yellow and then Brown. They fall to the ground and eventually the tree itself follows.
Change is the constant of life.
The void of waiting,
Attracting
With the very power
Of the place's promise.
Implicit sound,
Echoes of movement,
And life, impressed and trodden,
Staying, prefigured.
In this wait
Of visibility of the soul,
Distinctly life.
Vuoto d'attesa,
Che attrae
Con la potenza
Di un luogo e sua promessa.
Suono implicito,
Eco di movimento,
E vita, impressa e calcata,
Che resta, prefigurata.
In questa attesa
Di visibilità dell'anima,
Distintamente vita.
