All the furniture from the school was stacked in various classrooms to the top. Had this been in the northeast, years of snow, wind, sleet and rain would have destroyed it. Because this was located in Arkansas, everything remained in fairly good shape.

Stacks of a former open hearth shop at the USS Lorain Plant. This is a former plant of The National Tube Company.

It's always fun to cook and eat with colorful bowls and plates in a colorful
kitchen. Somehow makes the food that much more enjoyable, don't you
think? My color of choice is orange, what else?? :-)
I guess you could call this my first REAL attempt at rock stacking. I found the perfect spot with tons of flat rocks... have to go back some day when it's not 8 pm and the sun is quickly getting ready for bed and all I have is my P&S. The sand, you know.

ever heard of it? it's pretty orange and a super popular place to swim.
I guess the size of this stack is hard to tell... it was maybe (only) 15 inches high. but come on, I'm a beginner :)

These slim stacking rings are adorned with "pebbles" of recycled sterling silver. The silver was leftover scrap from my studio, so instead of just letting it sit there I decided to recycle it and make something pretty out of it.
There´s a special flagship store in Åre that sells only snuff, no other tobacco products.
You can even blend your own there, if you like.
We stacked up, heavily.
I see more and more of these in Boulder. Is it just a Colorado thing, I wonder?

The size of this stack and the volume of exhaust is simply awesome. It forces you to think about the volume of coal being burned and the impact on our environment, even though the exhaust gas has had the particulates removed and has been scrubbed.
So clean most of the time there's no visible emissions--just some steam.
