It's always fun to cook and eat with colorful bowls and plates in a colorful
kitchen. Somehow makes the food that much more enjoyable, don't you
think? My color of choice is orange, what else?? :-)
Found this one under a piece of fallen bark. It remained immobile while I completed a 17-image hand-held stack at F8. Later combined in Zerene Stacker. No retouching required (except multiple sensor dust-spot removal!)
It's incredible how well Stacker resolves all the individual hairs.

[Update: This image caused a degree of discussion on iSpot. Current view is that it's a male lace weaver (Amaurobius similis).]
Stacks of Babette squares, ready for me to play with layout and start seaming. And weaving in ends, oh the ends.
Looking at this picture actually makes me feel slightly better. Since I crocheted this rather bass-ackwardsly, I was a little afraid it would look hideous when it all came together. It looks okay, at least from this perspective.
My first automated focus stack, this is a total of 21 pictures of a stink bug. Perhaps this is a sign that spring is truly upon us (even though the f---ing snow says otherwise!).
It's a try. I like it's leg hairs

Daughter wasn't as excited as me.

25¢ from a yard sale. Might save these until Christmas.
I liked how they stack and also nest. Each one has a working key. We have the ABC and the 123, but not the other shapes.

I see more and more of these in Boulder. Is it just a Colorado thing, I wonder?

Stacked rocks taken at Sope Creek with a rented 50mm f1.4 lens. I went for the 1.8 in the end because it was cheaper.

A stack train slowly passes through Elk River as the heaviest of the snow subsides. The snow was blinding or a while, trains are still protecting crossings where gates were falling because of the heavy frosting type snow.
