I just love how the water runs over her face and how it distorts it slightly! And then it looks like water hair running down the back.

Pictures from Principia Upper School Graduation 2007.

We enjoyed beautiful weather for the graduation. We were invited by Nelleke. Lots of my Sunday School students were graduating as well this year.

I purchased reflective harnesses for the dogs along with reflective leashes today. You feel as if you are taking your life into your hand walking at night around here as the roads are dark with no street lights. And though there isn't much traffic the roads twist and turn and there is no edge to really walk on. The reflectiveness was a bust. It was an imprint on the collar rather than reflective tape stitched on top. I am going to return them and purchase something online that I hope will work out better but I discovered that walking the dogs in a harness is fantastic. They didn't pull, did not get the leash caught under their legs and were much better walkers. I think they liked it better!

I have also been struggling with Tiffany & Co. I ordered a bowl for a wedding gift. When I tried to purchase it Sunday night online, the website gave me an error saying they couldn't confirm my card. Thinking I may have typed the number in wrong, I tried again. Same message. So Monday I called Tiffany's and ordered over the phone. Tuesday I was checking my debit card balance and realized that I had three pending purchases for $200.00. Thinking I may soon be receiving three bowls, I phoned them and explained the situation. No, they said, they only show one order for me. The next call was of course to my bank. They were very understanding but told me there was nothing they could do as the transaction are pending. They will have to wait until they get denied by Tiffany's and will show up back in my balance. UGH....in the meantime my checking account balance is down nearly $600.00. You know forty buck thirty bucks, I might be a little bit more understanding but six hundred well, that is my working cash flow. My cash...in purgatory. Tiffany's says it's not their fault the bank says they can't do anything what is a girl to do? Complain!!!

I am so thankful for friends who will listen to your story and empathize with you when things don't go your way!

Allison took this pic of me this afternoon moments before the camera batteries went dead. I played a wedding today on the beach at Hilton Head Island. The wind was blowing and the sun was amazingly bright, thus the slits for eyes. It was one of the most visually beautiful weddings I've ever played for. A fun time was had by all.

BTW - there is a Steve Taylor album called "Squint"

Another cop out day. I am not feeling inspired at all... and I have a headache from squinting all day at computer screens at work wearing my glasses, that are 4 years old.

So this is all you guys get today! I have a great idea that I plan on using soon... just a matter of doing it D:

This squint window is tucked in alongside the rear door that now leads to the modern kitchen. Originally this will have provided a view of anyone outside the rear door. Note the corbelled stones above, possibly the remnants of a former spiral stair to the upper floor of the west wing, the present window to the left being a later insert.
