Squinting to show off the gradients in the eye colour: all purples of some sort, and pat it on and "windshield wipe" and repeat.
Iowa Pacific's unnamed Budd Diner #800448 brings up the markers on the westbound California Zephyr while deadheading to IP's shop in Alamosa, CO.
Here, its seen at the east end of the former Burlington platform in Omaha, NE, and if you squint just a little bit, it could surely pass for a scene out of the 60's.

If I squint real hard, L&N 7043 is leading a freight somewhere in southern Indiana on the former Monon Railroad following the merger of 1971.
The plaids, the sympathetic squint on the little girl...they seem to be happy siblings.
Or perhaps she smacked him in the eye.
