Everyone left the university early because of the snow. I went crazy taking pics. It's Abercromby Square, not AbercrombIE. Liverpool Favourites Set.
The skull is from my neighbors door decor. The background windows are AI generated. I merged them in BeFunky

You can still see a bit of ice cover on the right side of the lake.
This picture was made during an encounter of Flickr Florianópolis Group, almost three weeks ago... I've had almost no time for photography.
What a great day it was !

It has not been the best Summer in DK. Maybe there is not money enough this season to paint the woodwork (:-)) at this beautiful bath place looking out to the Oresund bridge to Sweden. Great place....
when I write notes for my clients, I like to write them out on scraps of pretty Japanese paper. Yup-- I still actually write. With a pen.
A line up of different Dutch facades around a square in the city Almere was the original subject I captured with my camera. I isolated this line up and digitally I recreated the feeling of a square, surrounded by these houses. In order to add depth and richness to the composition I repeated the space in several layers behind the original, each time making it smaller. I love the abstract, baroque feeling of the result. I also added the original sky of the scene and the almost visible sun in the middle.
These are the final weeks to visit the exhibition at Kunstlinie Almere (Netherlands) that this image is part of. Open until 9 April, 2023.

Still one of my own all-time favourites.
Brought forward on 2 February 2013 (originally posted on 10 October 2009).
Kostel Matky Boží před Týnem (Church of Our Lady before Týn) from the Old Town Square early in the morning.
Took a landscape version of my last posted image, but didn't quite like it, because the foreground tree stump didn't stand out that well as I had moved back a meter or two, so I only posted the portrait version.
A friend, Torben Christensen, suggested that a square crop might have been better for that image, so here it is. Not quite square, but close enough. I also enlarged the old tree stump just a tiny bit - I know that's probably is a big no no, but I think I got away with it even though I'm not that good at Photoshop. I should have stayed closer to it from the start, instead of moving back :-(
Anyway here it is - hope you like this as well. This is taken about 3 minutes after the portrait version, so you can see how quickly the fog lifted, although it came back just as quick.

this is a now common photographic subject of mine:

This time however I was going for a square format.
For the Macro Monday challenge "Redux 2020"
I always love this MM challenge, to revisit the topics for the year, and have a second shot at one of them.
I've chosen "Squared Circle" (July 6th 2020) for my second try. I find the square a difficult format for my photographs. I took the same elements, a tiny 4 cm crystal ball and a tuquoise and white cotton scarf. The challenge was to place a perfect circle inside a perfct square! I had fun, and played with the scarf to give a more complex shape than the original (in the first comment field)
HMM!! ;o)
