#100daysofnature - Day 92 - it amazes me how quickly these spring up after the rain we have had...it wasn't there the day before yesterday

Not as tasty as peking duck :p.

 

If what I have read is right, there are less that 7000 nesting pairs of these birds in the UK, and we're proud to have one of of those pairs :). They are incredibly timid though, and won't join the others when we put duck food out for the rest of the local residents.

Spring watch is a tv programme all about local wildlife and there flora and fuana with presenters chris packham and simon king and kate humble i was able to be at the springwatch event on southampton common and cadged the badge on the end of the lens and wanted to get the robin to stand next to it after several attemps and mealworms he finaly did it

badgers have poor eyesight and are only out at night so rely heavily on their other senses. Blindfolded the children had to feel, smell and hear their way around
