Is this a juvenile long tailed tit ? Sorry.....I love nature but I'm no always so good at identifying......If so...in October??

Pensthorpe is hoping to release cranes into the wild.

After many attempts at trying to get one of these, i finally managed a half decent photo. They just don't stand still for a second.

#100daysofnature - Day 92 - it amazes me how quickly these spring up after the rain we have had...it wasn't there the day before yesterday

Not as tasty as peking duck :p.

 

If what I have read is right, there are less that 7000 nesting pairs of these birds in the UK, and we're proud to have one of of those pairs :). They are incredibly timid though, and won't join the others when we put duck food out for the rest of the local residents.
