Watched the female Blackbird collecting bits and bobs out the kitchen window. Round and around, using at least five different landing spots before entering the nest in the hedge. So happy to have seen this before the new growth completely hides it. She's not decided which way is more comfortable. (I know the feeling) Swipe >for pic 2. Record shots

No birds or nests were hurt or disturbed while taking this shot - not so for the overdone sausages in the oven. 😊

Well, it was monsoon like rain today - so I went for a walk to test out my new waterproof jacket and boots - needless to say I feel bereft without my camera, so it came along too - I never dreamed I would see one of the largest Red Admirals I have ever seen when at last the rain stopped - and nearly halfway through October

Seen my first ever Tawny Owl after years of failed searching - it's amazing just how happy seeing a bird for the first time can make you! 😄

See all the moss hanging down was a good give away plus also the last 3 weeks the noise from the chicks before they left was so loud we assumed it was taken by blue tits as i know they hatch out large amount of young, We found this cast iron cow head in the barn only put up a couple of months ago.
