Die Bäume fahren im Frühling aus der Haut (Wilhelm Busch)

My first Robin sighting this year, a sign of Spring!? Definitely feels like spring is well on its way, even waking early to birds chirping. When I was reading about their migration however, came across this article and learned that apparently some Robins do stay the winter in southern Ontario....

the iris is one of my favorite flowers for its purple colors. it's elegant and delicate. espcially when you see the field is filled with it.

there are white, yellow irises, also. they are all elegant and beautiful.

Explored ... #3! :D

Another lovely day in Sydney - still a little cool, but you can tell that Spring is on the way. I was out in the garden photographing bees when I spied my first Ladybird of the season.

This is a pretty Geranium that is growing in a pot in my garden. We are in the first week of Spring and already have a few days predicted to be in the high 20s C. Today was 27 C which I can handle, but it is a sign on more heat to come.

Carpobrotus, commonly known as pigface, ice plant, sour fig, Hottentot fig, and clawberry is a genus of ground-creeping plants with succulent leaves and large daisy-like flowers.

These have been growing in my wheelbarrow garden for a while now and suddenly decided to bloom on the first day of Spring.

This may look like a summer photo but trust me it is not, it was just a little window of opportunity the other day when I spotted the little ladybird right by my front door catching the warm sheltered spot on this little Daisy! We are now back to the dull rain and windy weather grrr! It was soooo nice to see the sun for a few hours just need a bit more now to lift our spirits!

A good, old, red barn is great and a perfect photograph opportunity...but two good, old, red barns is twice as good and even more worthy of a good photograph!

“When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest. The only thing that could spoil a day was people and if you could keep from making engagements, each day had no limits. People were always the limiters of happiness except for the very few that were as good as spring itself.”

This is the other Azalea that is growing next to the pale pink. It is also blooming in our front garden.

Yesterday was the first day of Spring and a lovely Spring day. Today is overcast and cooler - Spring made a fleeting appearance it seems.
