Addy and Beethoven
Lake Graham is a 500 acre, man-made lake in Madison County, Tennessee that is home to largemouth bass, crappie, trout, sunfish, and blue & channel catfish. It is managed by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and offers great scenic views and watchable wildlife excellent for photographers as well as the abundant anglers always present on the lake.
Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D5200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

This large bush is in our back garden and is full of blossoms and bees at the moment. I am not sure what the flowers are called, but someone might be able to help with an ID.

I usually keep politics out of my Flickr posts but given what's currently going on, these two gulls standing so quietly on the last remaining ice on our side of Lake Huron reminded me of the long standing and very friendly connection we had with our neighbors to the south. It's hard to ignore how one man has upended that relationship! Even I know there are better ways to implement change. Sadly, both sides will suffer the consequences for a long time to come.
Maple Seeds (aka Helicopters) are the best sign of springs for kids because they get the chance to play with them once they fall off the tree...convince me I'm wrong?!?

The robins, red-winged blackbirds, ducks and geese have all returned this week. Charlie is pausing here on our morning walk to watch a pair of low flying geese go by. Spring is coming Charlie.
