Trondhjems Adresseavis 29 november 1916 s. 2:

Østraat brændt.

Bare endel smaa uthuse staar igjen.

over Trøndelagen.

Imens stod borgen i lys lue. I fem-tiden faldt taarnet ned og

gnisterne sprang over til fjøsbygningen

I hr.

Navnet Austraat nævnes allerede i sagaen. Siden nævnes Austraat ofte i vor historie.

Godsbestyreren, hr.

Olivia Jones - before Herbertstraße

Olivia Jones (born 21 November 1969 in Jump) is the pseudonym of a German transvestite artist Oliver Knoebel, who was known as a drag queen.

The Herbert Street (formerly Henry Street) is a street in Hamburg, since the beginning of the development in the 19th Century is used for prostitution (from currently 250 women). It is located in St. Pauli near the Reeperbahn. The road is about 60 meters long and closed since 1933 at both ends with barriers, so no insight from outside is possible. At these barriers signs the minors and women are placed since the 1970s, trying to refuse entry. These signs were installed by the police "to maintain public order" and at the request of the prostitutes.

There are more holiday pictures to come but I just have to show some of my actual pictures. Otherwise spring will be gone and I'd be still showing snowdrops and crocus. ;o)

The Eagle Owl is a large and powerful bird, smaller than the Golden Eagle but larger than the Snowy Owl. It is sometimes titled the world's largest owl, but so is the Blakiston's Fish Owl, which is slightly bigger on average. The Eagle Owl has a wingspan of 138–230 cm (55–71 in) and measures 58–73 cm (23–29 in) long. Females weigh 1.75-4.2 kg (3.9-9.4 lbs) and males weigh 1.5-3.2 kg (3.3-7 lbs). In comparison, the Barn Owl weighs about 500 grams (1.1 lbs). It mainly feeds on small mammals, but can kill prey up to the size of foxes and young deer (up to 10 kg/22 lb), if taken by surprise. Larger prey (over 3 kg/7 lb) is consumed on the ground which leaves the bird vulnerable (for example to foxes). It is said to be routinely able to swallow a hedgehog whole.

The call of the Eagle Owl is a deep resonant “ooh-hu” with emphasis on the first syllable for the male, and a more high-pitched uh-Hu for the female (in German and Hungarian, the name of this bird is "Uhu", the Turkish name is "Puhu", and the Dutch name is “Oehoe”). Each member of an Eagle Owl population can be identified by means of its vocalizations.

Looks a little bit sad?! But it has got a bit more space as in a normal zoo. A second brown bear and some wolves are living in the same enclosure.

And it's a way to show animals to the people, especially to children. My children love to vistit this game-park near Hannover.

The photos of wolves are take at this enclosure, too.

Rollei 35TE. In lining the pictures up for this, I had two big white

areas that I very roughly faked image into. I didn't try very hard at

that and, to reduce the appearance of fakery and joinery, I noised the

edges of the picture substantially.

Østraat brændt.

Bare endel smaa uthuse staar igjen.

over Trøndelagen.

Imens stod borgen i lys lue. I fem-tiden faldt taarnet ned og

gnisterne sprang over til fjøsbygningen

I hr.

Navnet Austraat nævnes allerede i sagaen. Siden nævnes Austraat ofte i vor historie.

Godsbestyreren, hr.
