Hope, the great grey owl, entertaining the visitors to the birds of prey display at Wisentgehege Springe

I'm jumping in time and show you an older recording. When we went to the beautiful North Sea last year, we made a sightseeing pit stop in Hamburg. We parked right next to the world-famous harbour and took a look at the Speicherstadt. Spectacular! If you haven't seen the gate to the world yet, you should definitely make up for it. :)

No, it's a bird!

The look through the camera is like a door to another world.
The eurasian brown bear lady at Wisentgehege Springe looked like she was all set for the 100 metres and just waiting for me to give the signal. :o)
On our last visit to Wisentgehege Springe, my friend and I found Wilhelm the Lynx at one of his favourite spots in the enclosure, high up (approx. 20m) in an old oak tree. But instead of being on the lookout he was happily dozing the afternoon away, only once lifting his head briefly to see what the commotion on the ground was all about.
... go catch your own," Karla, the female Eurasian brown bear at Wisentgehege Springe, seemed to say to me when she finally managed to steal a fish from Siggi.
It's easy to see why the bald eagle is the national bird of the United States and eagles in general are so popular in heraldry. They are such majestic creatures.
Siggi, the male brown bear at Wisentgehege Springe, seemed a little bit surprised to find me and my camera when he emerged from the bed of nettles after the keeper had called him to lunch.
The African fish eagle @ Wisentgehege Springe was having a bit of a bad hair day today. Still, he posed beautifully for my portrait shots. :o)
