a great new day in springtime and listen:

Seasons In The Sun

Goodbye to you, my trusted friend

We've known each other since we were nine or ten

Together we've climbed hills and trees

Learned of love and ABCs

Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees

Goodbye my friend, it's hard to die

When all the birds are singing in the sky

Now that the spring is in the air

Pretty girls are everywhere

Think of me and I'll be there

We had joy, we had fun

We had seasons in the sun

But the hills that we climbed

Were just seasons out of time ..........

A flicker of yellow...

Taking a moment to enjoy the calm weather and the quiet rhythm of the coast. Seated by the fjord, surrounded by rock, water and open sky, this image captures the simple pleasure of being present—pausing to take in the light, the air and the landscape before the day moves on.

September 1 is considered springday, 3 weeks ahead of the earth reaching its spring position with respect to the sun.

The trees also cannot wait for that and start to open their buds and roll out their leaves.

Here is the same photo, but now in the original color form. I used the polarizing filter to darken the sky and bring out the clouds better.

Half Moon Bay began as a rural agricultural area, primarily used by Mission San Francisco de Asís (established in 1776) for grazing of cattle, horses, and oxen

The community began to develop in the 1840s as San Mateo County's first real town. It is a thriving fishing industry in addition to its continued importance to coastal agriculture.
