I took this photo for the Our Daily Challenge group on the theme of "Lost Colors." We’re currently enjoying beautiful, sunny spring days here, but the nights are still very cold. It was precisely this combination that led to a light fog on Saturday morning, which muted the colors along the avenue and made them almost disappear.

Dieses Foto habe ich für die Gruppe Our Daily Challenge zum Thema Lost Colors aufgenommen. Wir haben hier zurzeit wunderschöne sonnige Frühlingstage, doch die Nächte sind noch sehr kalt. Genau diese Mischung hat am Samstagmorgen zu einem feinen Nebel geführt, der die Farben entlang der Allee gedämpft und fast verschwinden ließ.

Springtime in SoCal brings the purple flowers of the Jacaranda Tree. They are abloom everywhere you look. It is amazing to me to see lavender tree-lined streets this time of the year.

I took this spring photo for the Our Daily Challenge theme “Poetic Poems.” It tells its own poem—without words, using only reflections, delicate green hues, and a solitary tree trunk standing in the space like a punctuation mark. It is a moment when nature itself becomes poetry.

It was a nice spring day up at Highland Farms today, the overcast sky we had in the morning gave way to sunshine and scattered clouds.

We found these delicate blossoms on a walk in Strawberry, AZ, a tiny town in the Rim Country of northern Arizona. Not nearly as arid as Phoenix but the soil was still pretty dry.
