My wife and kids all have off for Spring break so we thought it would be nice to go someplace a tad-bit warmer and visit some relatives in the St Louis area. Well, as it turns out, just because a place has a lower latitude, doesn't necessarily mean more pleasant weather. On Sunday, we were socked by 16.6" (42 cm) of snow which, needless to say, put a bit of a damper on our family excursion possibilities and my dreams of getting in some photography time. This was the only photo I was able to take during our trip... a lone male Cardinal (or Redbirds as they're often referred to down there) .

a bunch more photos from our spring break trip down to Grayton Beach, Florida. These are from the last day there. It was a really windy, but beautiful day and we had the beach to ourselves.

Track and field teammates (left to right) Sara Sacks, Susan Fasano, Melinda Solomon, and Mikaela Thurber show their Major pride during Spring Break at Big Bend National Park in Texas. They completed the Outer Mountain Loop which consisted of a 33.5 mile hike over four days and three nights, camping along the way.
